Medsin's annual National Conference is the largest of its kind in the country, bringing together over 400 like-minded students and the most eminent thinkers of today. It’s a chance to think outside the constraints of the core curriculum and learn about the really pressing issues in global health as well as find out how to get involved in projects and campaigns to take practical action against health inequalities both at home and abroad.
The theme for this conference is “Vulnerability in Health”. Medsin’s vision includes attaining health for all. However in reality, people’s ability to access healthcare varies hugely. We will explore the difficulties surrounding various vulnerable groups in society, the barriers they face in accessing healthcare and look at how we may be able to tackle them.
With over 4 plenaries and 16 speakers involving some of the leading experts in the field, 50 workshops to gain further insight into plenary discussions and equip you with key skills training, a global health futures fayre, our Robin Hood themed social and much more ...
We hope the conference will be not only an education but also an inspirational, fun-packed weekend!
